in the 2010 Portrait Society of America contest

in Jackson, Wyoming

Upcoming Workshops for 2010:

Tuesday Evenings 6-9 – Open Figure Drawing sessions

-       This class is ongoing and open to the public.  The cost is $5 for those that would like to come
draw on their own, or $15 for those that would like instruction

Instructor:  Ryan S. Brown

 

Thursday evenings 6-9 and Saturday mornings 9-12 – Anatomy & Ecorce Lessons

-       Wednesday nights include 1.5 hours of anatomy lecture and 1.5 hours of drawing from the model
with specific anatomy instruction.  Friday nights are for Ecorce students only.  Students will work
on their ecorce sculpture with instruction.  Ecorce students are required to make a 3-month
commitment.  Ecorce has a size limit of 15 students.  Students may also choose to attend only the
anatomy lectures on Wednesday evenings.  This can be paid for per month.

Tuition for Anatomy and Ecorce:  $600/3 months

Tuition for Anatomy only:  $115/month

 

Friday Evenings 6-9 – Figure Drawing

-       Students will learn figure drawing in the sight-size method.  Student’s study one sustained pose
each evening, with a new pose every week.  A four-week commitment is required. 
Classes are limited to 10 students. 

Instructor:  Brock Alius

 

Tuition:  $125/month

 

Saturdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Figure Drawing

-       This class includes one hour of gesture drawing, followed by a four hour extended figure pose
(with a one hour break from 12:30-1:30 for lunch).  Students can choose to work in the sight-size
or comparative method of drawing.  Instruction in both methods will be available.   A four-week
commitment is required.  This class is limited to 20 students.  $135

**Material costs must be paid upon registration.  Because materials need to be ordered in advance of
the workshop, refunds will not be offered for the materials.  Tuition refunds are subject to the normal
cancelation policy.

A 50% deposit is required at registration.  The total amount of tuition is due May 1st for all May workshops and
August 1st for all August workshops.  Cancellations made one month before the starting date of the workshop
will receive a full refund.  Cancellations made less than one month but at least two weeks before the starting date
of the workshop will receive a refund of half the tuition price.  Cancellations made less than two weeks before the
starting date of the workshop will not receive a refund, as it leaves us no time to fill that position.
